Tip for the Season:

Seeing fresh asparagus at the market means spring has finally sprung. When it's time to cook, use a veggie peeler to pare off any tough spots, and drop the bundle into 3 quarts of boiling salted water for 2-6 minutes depending on stalk thickness. Remove and shock in ice cold water to retain color and crispness.

About Mangia

Mangia Cooking School is nestled in the Sierra Foothills between Angels Camp and Murphys, Ca. approx. 130 miles NE of San Francisco.  We are located in the California Gold country with its flourishing wine country and many other attractions.

 

Mangia’s beautiful kitchen is equipped with state of the art equipment  which offers demonstration and hands on classes with cameras and tv screens.

 

My name is Tami Taurian and I will be your host, occasionally guests will be invited to share their passion for food as well.

 

Our menus are filled with seasonal ingredients from our local growers, farmers and vendors giving our classes the highest quality.

 

Our warm and friendly kitchen can accommodate up to 12 people for our hands on classes and up to 20 for our demonstration classes.

 

At Mangia we want to share a culinary adventure with you.  Our guests will experience a day or evening filled with learning, laughter and sampling new food ideas that you can share with your families and friends at your own homes.

We invite you to look through our calendar to choose the class that appeals to you. We offer all kinds of classes to suit your needs, including private parties and team building. Please call us for a private party.
